    Guest Services Manager

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a Guest Services Manager.

    The Guest Services Manager is a part-time, temporary position.

    This position is responsible for day-to-day management of The Eyak Inn.

    Experience Requirement: Two years sales, customer service and hospitality experience preferred.

    Education Requirement: Two or four-year degree in Business preferred.  Current Alaska Driver’s license with good driving record for past five years.

  • Summer Intern 2019

    Intern

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for Interns.

    The Intern is a part-time, seasonal position.

    This position works with NVE’s cultural, IT, and Administrative Departments in order to assist programs and learn various job skills.

  • Heavy Equipment Operator/Technician

    Heavy Equipment Operator/Technician

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator/Technician.

    The Heavy Equipment Operator/Technician is a full-time, seasonal position.

    This position is responsible for operating and maintaining NVE’s heavy equipment, as well as leading crews of laborers and operators to achieve broad project deliverables.  Oversees safety protocols and keeps projects running efficiently and on schedule. Work will be done using power and hand tools, trucks, ATV’s and heavy equipment.

    Experience Requirement: Experience in leading outdoor/remote site crews preferred. General boating and outboard knowledge and experience. Experience working in the woods in a remote setting. Experience with 4wd and ATV trail running. Experience with camp set, cooking and daily living skills in the woods.Experience in operating small boats, ATV’s and power tools required. Experience working in remote areas and in outdoor conditions preferred.  Must be minimum 18 years of age and possess a current Alaska Commercial Driver’s license. Will be subject to drug and alcohol screening as per NVE policies.Class A CDL required.

    Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor’s degree preferred

    Wellness Event Coordinator

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a Wellness Event Coordinator.

    The Wellness Event Coordinator is a part time 30 hours per week, regular position.

    This position is responsible for scheduling and planning events designed for wellness, including substance abuse prevention and promotion of healing from abuse/neglect.

    Experience Requirement: Two years office experience preferred. Event or project management experience preferred. Must have a valid Alaska Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

  • DENR Environmental Technician I

    DENR Environmental Technician I

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a DENR Environmental Technician I.

    The position is full time, seasonal (June-August)

    The DENR Environmental Technician I will be located at the Native Village of Eyak (NVE) Office in Cordova, Alaska, and field work will occur on the Copper River, Copper River Delta, Gulf of Alaska, and Prince William Sound. This position will assist DENR staff on a variety of NVE natural resource projects, including Copper River Chinook in river abundance estimates, oil spill response, marine debris work, alternative energy, water quality sampling, water gauging, and contaminated site remediation.

    Experience Requirement: Experience safely traveling in remote outdoor settings.  Basic office skills required.  Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.  GIS experience preferred.  Experience with environmental sampling preferred.

    Education Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent and enrolled in a natural sciences or any environmental degree program at an accredited institution.  Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess valid AK driver’s license.

  • Eyak Inn Housekeeper

    Eyak Inn Housekeeper

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a Eyak Inn Housekeeper. The position is casual/as-needed. This position is responsible for the daily tasks associated with operations of a small hotel. This includes cleaning rooms and common areas, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and sanitization using the NVE cleaning checklist.

    Experience Requirement: Two years hospitality experience preferred. Two years customer service preferred.

    Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Current Alaska Driver’s license with good driving record for the past five years preferred.

    Ilanka Community Health Center PRN Nurse

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a PRN Nurse.

    The PRN Nurse is an On-Call position.

    The Ilanka Community Health Center Registered Nurse provides support and assistance to medical providers and coordinates direct patient care while facilitating patient flow within the clinic.  Ilanka Community Health Center promotes a team based approach to care.

    Experience Requirement: Ilanka Registered Nurse must have one a minimum of one year of  experience in a clinical setting.

    Education Requirement: The successful applicant must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Ilanka Registered Nurse must have a current Alaska RN license.

    The Native Village of Eyak’s Ilanka Community Health Center is accepting applications for a Medical Diagnostic Sonographer.

    The position is part time with flexible hours.

    Duties include performing ultrasounds, evaluating image quality and maintaining patient records.

    Applicants are required to hold a minimum of an associate’s degree in medical diagnostic sonography and be registered with ARDMS.
