    Ilanka Cultural Center Coordinator

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a Ilanka Cultural Center Coordinator.

    The Ilanka Cultural Center Coordinator is a full time, regular position.

    The Ilanka Cultural Center Coordinator maintains and markets the gift shop, webstore, cache & tribal library as well as assists with cultural programming and projects.

    Experience Requirement: 1-year customer service experience preferred.  Experience with WordPress or similar website platform preferred.

    Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Fish Camp Technician

    Fish Camp Technician

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a Fish Camp Technician.

    The Fish Camp Technician is a full time, seasonal position (month of June).

    This is an entry-level technician position within the Native Village of Eyak’s Cultural Department working on site at the new NVE Fish Camp.  This position supports tribal members with their subsistence activities and acts as camp supervisor while at camp.  Working in a semi-remote area for extended periods of time will be required.

    Experience Requirement: CPR/First Aid Certification required. Valid AK Drivers license required.

    Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Field Support Technician

    Field Support Technician

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for two Field Support Technicians.

    The position is full time, seasonal (April-July)

    The Field Support Technician works with various NVE departments to complete seasonal laborer work. This position uses physical labor, chainsaws and power tools to complete projects.

    Experience Requirement: General boating and outboard knowledge and experience.  Experience with 4wd and ATV trail running. Experience in operating small boats, ATV’s and power tools required. Experience working in remote areas and in outdoor conditions preferred.  Must be minimum 18 years of age and possess a current Alaska Driver’s license. Will be subject to drug and alcohol screening as per NVE policies.

    Education Requirement: High school diploma, equivalent or enrolled in secondary school.

  • DENR Environmental Technician I

    DENR Environmental Technician I

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a DENR Environmental Technician I.

    The position is full time, seasonal (June-August)

    The DENR Environmental Technician I will be located at the Native Village of Eyak (NVE) Office in Cordova, Alaska, and field work will occur on the Copper River, Copper River Delta, Gulf of Alaska, and Prince William Sound. This position will assist DENR staff on a variety of NVE natural resource projects, including Copper River Chinook in river abundance estimates, oil spill response, marine debris work, alternative energy, water quality sampling, water gauging, and contaminated site remediation.

    Experience Requirement: Experience safely traveling in remote outdoor settings.  Basic office skills required.  Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.  GIS experience preferred.  Experience with environmental sampling preferred.

    Education Requirement: High School diploma or equivalent and enrolled in a natural sciences or any environmental degree program at an accredited institution.  Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess valid AK driver’s license.

  • Eyak Inn Housekeeper

    Eyak Inn Housekeeper

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a Eyak Inn Housekeeper. The position is casual/as-needed. This position is responsible for the daily tasks associated with operations of a small hotel. This includes cleaning rooms and common areas, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and sanitization using the NVE cleaning checklist.

    Experience Requirement: Two years hospitality experience preferred. Two years customer service preferred.

    Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Current Alaska Driver’s license with good driving record for the past five years preferred.

    Ilanka Community Health Center PRN Nurse

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a PRN Nurse.

    The PRN Nurse is an On-Call position.

    The Ilanka Community Health Center Registered Nurse provides support and assistance to medical providers and coordinates direct patient care while facilitating patient flow within the clinic.  Ilanka Community Health Center promotes a team based approach to care.

    Experience Requirement: Ilanka Registered Nurse must have one a minimum of one year of  experience in a clinical setting.

    Education Requirement: The successful applicant must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Ilanka Registered Nurse must have a current Alaska RN license.

  • Cultural Summer Intern

    Cultural Summer Intern

    The Native Village of Eyak is accepting applications for a Cultural Summer Intern. The position is part time, temporary (Mid June to Mid August). This position assists the Cultural Summer Camp Lead in planning and holding youth events in order to service at risk tribal members, promote Eyak culture and provide fun activities for all community members. This position is expected to work with groups of youth aged K-12 under the direction of the Cultural Camp Lead. One-year experience working in a leadership role with youth. 

    Education Requirement: Currently working towards a high school diploma. CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

    The position is full time, temporary (through end of June) with the possibility of extending depending on funding.

    This position supports child health and well-being, provides support and services to at-risk families, and assists the community and tribal members socially and financially working through Tribal, State, and Federal programs.

    The Native Village of is accepting applications for several Fisheries Technician II positions for the 2019 season.

    The position is full-time, seasonal.

    This position works at a remote field camp using fishwheels and mark-recapture techniques to estimate the in-river abundance of adult Chinook salmon.

    Applicants are required to have a Bachelor’s degree with a major in biology, fisheries, or relevant major or have relevant experience.Applicants should have two years’ experience working in the biological sciences.
